Q: What brought you to KeHE? How long have you been with the company?
A: I started my career on June 22, 1999, with Tree of Life as a Selector in our Ft. Lauderdale facility. At the time, I had two older brothers working with the company and I needed to start working. This being my first job, I was really scared and nervous, but I was embraced by the people and started excelling.
Q: Tell us a little about your role at KeHE and how it’s changed over the years.
A: I changed departments several times until I reached Team Lead. I reached several milestones, including being a key helper with the go-live of NTS in that building. I held that position for a few years until I decided to transfer to our old Kennesaw facility. In that building, I held many roles, but I was essential as a Utility Associate. I worked with Inbound and Outbound wherever they needed help and was sent to Romeoville to support their go-live to NTS.
Q: How has KeHE fostered your growth within the company?
A: Throughout my career I’ve had multiple leaders see more in me than I saw in myself. They continued to encourage and support me. To this day, I can still have conversations with my previous leaders for advice.
Q: What are some of the biggest changes you’ve seen during your tenure with KeHE?
A: The change in culture has been the biggest change. Seeing us move into being an employee-owned company and the level of care everyone shows is amazing.
Q: During your time with KeHE, what milestones are you most proud to have been a part of?
A: I can’t say one milestone, but I really loved transferring into a facility that was on the verge of change. Being part of the change for the better and seeing the results is a wonderful feeling.
Q: What has been your favorite memory during your time at KeHE?
A: My favorite memory was my first trip to the Romeoville facility during their NTS go-live. I’ve met a lot of great people and got a firsthand experience of being part of the KeHE family.
Q: What legacy do you hope to leave behind with KeHE?
A: As I continue my career, I hope to be as impactful to every associate as my different managers/supervisors/directors have been to me. If it wasn’t for them investing the time and effort in me, I wouldn’t have lasted this long. I continue growing as a leader and as a good human each day that I’m with KeHE.
