KeHE® has many amazing employees, and today we are highlighting one of them who has been with us for over 14 years! Keep reading below to learn about Denise Manns, a valued employee who has had an impact on countless individuals.

Q: What brought you to KeHE? How long have you been with the company?

A: I was working multiple jobs to provide for my family, and a mom from my son’s soccer team (an employee of KeHE) told me how KeHE was hiring and that I would be a good fit. I applied to KeHE and have been growing since 2010. I no longer need to work multiple jobs, giving me a better work-life balance. I have been with KeHE for 14 years and counting! I could not be prouder of our company.

Q: Tell us a little about your role at KeHE and how it’s changed over the years.

A: I started in alternate channel customer care for KeHE Direct, Eye Level Solutions, and the Source. As KeHE grew, so did I, learning natural and mass market customer care. I then moved on to Fresh inside sales, growing my knowledge of what KeHE does and has to offer. I applied to work in Account Support in 2015, and from there I really started to grow and discover my place within KeHE. I was promoted to lead, then coordinator, supervisor, and now manager, taking all the information I have gained from other departments and applying it to my current role.

Q: How has KeHE fostered your growth within the company?

A: I have been blessed with multiple supervisors and managers who have helped me learn and grow in a positive manner. Over the years KeHE’s Albertson’s sales team has impacted my knowledge and growth in a very positive manner, including me in discussion and training. I have been provided multiple opportunities for leadership development and growth. I have also had the opportunity to serve in Laredo and with KeHE Cares® here in Florida and be part of multiple groups within KeHE. All of these experiences have helped me grow as an employee, but more importantly, as a person.

Q: What are some of the biggest changes you’ve seen during your tenure with KeHE?

A: The massive growth of the company. Improvements of all our databases and how technology has been updated to better serve associates and customers. More programs to ensure all associates are included, acknowledged, appreciated, and cared for.

Q: During your time with KeHE, what milestones are you most proud to have been a part of?

A: There have been multiple milestones such as learning more about our Fresh business and what is involved from a sales perspective. The onboarding of Albertson’s Fresh was both challenging and rewarding. Being awarded the Unsung Hero in 2020 for dedication to my job and the accounts I worked on was an honor and a tremendous compliment from KeHE leadership.

Q: What has been your favorite memory during your time at KeHE?

A: The team building activities we had with all departments at the Jacksonville office. Seeing everyone smiling and truly enjoying each other blessed my heart and soul. I have also really enjoyed the times we served at the Elkton warehouse, whether it was filling backpacks for local children, preparing food boxes for local charities, or setting up events for the warehouse associates. My grandchildren and I really grew from these opportunities.

Q: What legacy do you hope to leave behind with KeHE?

A: That I be known as a person who truly cares about KeHE, our associates, and our customers, always willing to lend a hand when and where needed.
