Join us on June 13, 2024 from 8 – 9am at the 2024 KeHE Holiday Show as we work together to make 100 fleece blankets to be distributed by MorningStar Mission. MorningStar Mission is a local Chicago organization that works tirelessly to fight hunger and homelessness.
Here’s why you should participate:
- Make a Difference: These blankets will provide warmth and comfort to those in need during the cold winter months.
- Fun and Rewarding: Fleece blanket-making is a fun and easy activity, perfect for crafters of all skill levels.
- Be Part of a Community: Join other like-minded people who are passionate about giving back.
During the 2024 KeHE Holiday Show, we’re asking our show attendees to choose one of three carefully selected beneficiaries to receive support to further their missions. The KeHE Cares® Foundation supports organizations where our employee-owners are directly involved and committed to serving others in donating their time and talents for the betterment of those in need. When you pick up your badge in Chicago you’ll receive a wooden token valued at $10. Drop your token at the display in the KeHE Cares® booth to donate to our partners on your behalf.
Hunger’s End
Hungers End’s mission is to “End Hunger in America, one community at a time”.
They operate a food pantry and Blessing Closet serving 500-600 families each month, located in Bradenton, Florida. Partnering with many great organizations, Hungers End provides free groceries, clothes, and personal hygiene products to those in need. Additionally, the organization offers a resource center, bike distribution program through Bayside Bike partnership, and free haircuts from their barber shop.
3 Grains of Rice missions
Three Grains of Rice Missions is driven by the transformative power of unexpected kindness. Inspired by the founder’s experience of overcoming poverty and homelessness through the support of strangers, our mission is to create a network of compassionate individuals who can offer hope, healing, and practical support to those facing similar hardships. We focus on empowering children in disadvantaged situations, assisting organizations that serve the vulnerable, and fostering a spirit of community built on God’s love and service.
MorningStar Mission Ministries
Since its beginning in November 1909, MorningStar Mission has had one main goal — help people in need.
Today, MorningStar Mission is a non-denominational organization dedicated to relieving the spiritual and physical hunger of the poor by providing food for the hungry, clothes for the needy, shelter for the homeless and the gospel of Jesus Christ for all.
Through our many Christ-centered programs and services, we aim to help people in need by getting to the core issues of what has caused their homelessness. Whether the problem stems from alcohol, drugs, mental health or family matters, our services have been developed for those who have reached the decision to make a real change in their lives.
