Q: What inspired you to join KeHE, and what was your first impression of the company?

A: KeHE became my professional home shortly after graduating from Western Michigan University. I was actively seeking a company that prioritized both professional development and a supportive, inclusive environment. From my initial interactions, it was clear that KeHE offered exactly that – a place where I could thrive both personally and professionally.

Q: How has your role evolved during your time at KeHE, and what lessons have you learned along the way?

A: My role at KeHE has undergone a significant evolution. I began as a Financial Analyst, gaining crucial business insights through data support for the sales team. This foundation led to my transition to the Smart Assortment team, where I learned the power of proactive data analysis in Category Management. Beyond analytics, I actively engaged in internal events, which fueled my passion for event coordination. This passion culminated in my current role on the Marketing Events Team, where I contribute to the creation of memorable national tradeshows.

Q: Can you share a standout memory or experience at KeHE that holds a special meaning for you?

A: One experience that holds a special place in my heart is the direct encouragement I received from Randy Shaw after a KeHE Cares® trip to Guatemala. He saw my enthusiasm for event planning and effectively nudged me to apply for the event coordinator role. It was a profound reminder of the personal connection and support I’ve found at KeHE.

Q: What opportunities have helped you grow personally and professionally during your time at KeHE?

A: KeHE’s Summer and Holiday Shows have provided invaluable opportunities for growth. Seeing the tangible results of our team’s dedication is truly inspiring. These events also challenge us to continuously improve and adapt. During COVID-19, our team faced unprecedented circumstances, demanding rapid learning, creative problem-solving, and a renewed focus on maintaining strong connections. Personally, navigating this period while becoming a mother significantly enhanced my adaptability and time management skills.

Q: What changes at KeHE have made the biggest impact on you, your work, or the company culture?

A: The rapid technological advancements at KeHE have been a game-changer. The enhanced resources have enabled us to be more proactive and efficient, which has had a significant positive impact on my work and the overall company culture. I’m excited to see how further technological integration will continue to drive innovation and growth.

Q: How have your colleagues and the KeHE community shaped your experience?

A: My experience at KeHE has been defined by the incredible community of colleagues who have become like family. They’ve witnessed my personal and professional growth, from a young adult to a mother of (soon to be) three. Their unwavering support during both celebrations and challenging times has been invaluable. Adding to this unique experience, I’ve also had the joy of working with my brother, making my time at KeHE even more memorable. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunities to grow alongside such exceptional individuals.
